Patty Sullivan, Television Host
Toronto
"I have loved animals from a very young age, and I have almost always had dogs in my life. I even won a public speaking contest in elementary school for my speech "Ma Maison La Ménagerie" ("My House, The Menagerie") about all the pets and stray animals that had come into our home over the years. My love for animals convinced me that I wanted to be a veterinarian, and I was in fact accepted to the University of Guelph to follow that dream. But then, in my first week volunteering with a vet, I was with the vet as he euthanized a dog, and I knew I could never do that myself."
Patty has been the host of Kids' CBC since 2003. She can also be seen as the host of Animal Magnetism, a show about the relationship between people and animals which continues to air on Animal Planet. She was also a founding member of TVO Kids Crawlspace.

Angie Dilaj
Yoga Instructor / Artist
Angie has always been an animal lover. She and her family have had several amazing rescued animal companions, from more common to rare and exotic, including dogs, birds, rats, hamsters, hedgehogs, snakes, tarantulas, lizards, and fish. She became interested in learning more about nutrition as she developed her love for yoga. Yoga involves bringing out the best in oneself and striving for internal clarity. As she became more self-aware, Angie began her research and eat less animal products every year--becoming pescatarian, vegetarian and currently a raw vegan. With celiac disease, she was prone to feeling sick and couldn't pinpoint the exact moment she came in contact with gluten. Since going vegan, she has never felt more vibrant and happy, knowing that no one was harmed in the making of her being. She continues to promote cruelty-free living where she can, in hopes that she may open at least one pair of eyes to the sad truth and help make a difference. Along with yoga, Angie is has received her Hoopnotica certification and shares her love for hula hooping. She does commissioned art pieces, generally comic book themed, and has published her first novel Apple Cores.
